You might remember that the Danforth location of The Ten Spot opened recently. I wasn’t able to attend the grand opening party but I had the pleasure of checking out the beautiful location a couple weeks ago.
My first impressions of the Ten Spot Beauty Bar was how bright, clean and open the space was. I loved it! And of course my eyes were drawn to the pretty orchid arrangements sitting at the front desk.
The Ten Spot offers nail, facial and waxing services. There is also a “Gent Grooming” menu for the guys! I went for a quick tour of the pretty space.
Here is the pedicure station. I’m taking special note of the stainless steel sinks. Some places will use plastic containers which can breed bacteria and can’t be sanitized.
Here’s one of the rooms where facial and waxing treatments are done. All facial treatments are done using Dermalogica products.
Although I’m too scared of waxing I can definitely see the humor in this sign for “The Brazilly” which is The Ten Spot’s signature service:
I opted for a Gel Colour Mani however The Ten Spot also carries their own line of nail lacquers and body products in house called “Get Nailed”.
For my manicure I picked a pretty pink called “It’s a Lily” (OPI) and went for a feature nail (I know…so daring of me!) with “In True” from the OPI Gwen Stefani line.
I absolutely love how shiny and pretty my nails turned out! My nail artist Shalim chatted with me about the importance of “wrapping” your nails at the tips at each step. I know I SHOULD be doing this but I tend to forget and get more polish on my skin than my actual nails. But I will take her advice and try this from now on.
