Holistic Vanity Extra Care Line

Posted on April 4, 2014April 6, 2014 by Elaine

The Holistic Vanity Extra Care line has launched at Pure + Simple and the timing couldn’t be better. If your skin has been suffering from the effects of this never ending Winter we had this year then this gentle line may be for you!

P+S-Holistic-Vanity-Extra-Care-Set

The Holistic Vanity Extra Care Line is the third line in the Holistic Vanity Collection created by Kristin Ma, co-founder of Pure + Simple. Read about the other two lines – Rosacea Care and Damage Care which I also wrote about.

This line was created to offer focused treatments to supplement the other Holistic Vanity lines and to boost the results of your existing skincare regimen. Using certified organic plant concentrates like Aloe Vera Leaf Juice and Rose Water, these high performance products nourish and strengthen the skin’s tissue at the cellular level.

P+S-Holistic-Vanity-Extra-Care-Set-Borage-eye-cream

The Bolstering Borage Eye Cream ($58) is pricey but it’s packed with potent actives such as Borage Seed and Roseroot extracts to hydrate the eye area, fighting puffiness and preventing fine lines. You need just a TINY amount on your ring finger. Apply it day and night very lightly along the eye bone.

P+S-Holistic-Vanity-Extra-Care-Set-Hyaluronic-Protein-Serum

The Hyaluronic Lupine Protein Serum ($88) is forumlated to deeply nourish your skin at the cellular level boosting hydration and skin immunity. This stuff feels great on the skin and absorbs effortlessly. I love that is also repairs damage already done to the skin and can be layered with any other serum you may already be using.

P+S-Holistic-Vanity-Extra-Care-Set-White-Tea-Meditation-Mask-2

The White Tea Meditation Mask ($46) smells AMAZINGLY of vanilla – but real vanilla – not the overly sweet synthetic vanilla that many products can smell like. It’s so soothing on the skin and I can see why one would want to slather it on and meditate. It’s packed with nutrient-rich ingredients such as tumeric, camellia, acerola and rosehip. Leave it on for 20 – 30 minutes or you can even use it overnight everyday for a week to re-balance your skin.

P+S-Holistic-Vanity-Extra-Care-Set-Revitalizing-Blackcurrent-Peel-2

The Revitalizing Black Current Peel ($55) is an amazing product. I’m usually hesitant about “peels” and “enzymes” as I’m worried they will be too harsh on my skin but after one use of this peel my skin looked more plump, hydrated and brighter! Containing natural fruit enzymes from black current, apple, peach and coconut (which accounts for the AMAZING smell), it’s great for congested skin (like mine). Leave this on clean skin for 20 minutes then rinse off. I actually left it on for longer one time but saw no ill side effects. The aloe vera juice in this peel is probably responsible for that as it calms skin and reduces inflammation.

Any of the products in the Holistic Vanity Extra Care line would be great to pump up your skin care routine as you start to come out of hibernation.

Which of these products piques your interest?

  • You *know* I had to! Once I had my wedding hair & makeup trial, I put the look TO WORKKK! ✏️ To get a sense of how my look would perform on my wedding day, I did: ✅ a humidity test ✅ a transfer test ✅ a kiss test ✅ a food test ✅ a crying test ✅ an exertion test It was a ton of fun and really gave me a sense of how the look would handle the various stresses of a wedding day. The tests showed what worked well and where we needed to make some small
  • Happy Gotcha Day to the cutest, most annoying fur baby there ever was. Two years feels like it’s gone by in an instant, and yet I can hardly remember what life was like before you came into our lives. Here’s to many more years of couch snuggles, hikes, vegan wheat-free treats, playdates with your bestie @ripley_the_terrier, and sleepovers with @llabc.ca when Adam & I need a break We love you, Goose. : First pic is by the insanely talented @alexa.studios —————————————————————————— #gotchaday #torontodogs #dogstagram #torontowedding #distillerydistrict #mytbrfave #torontobeautyreviews #tbrcontributors
