So where did summer go? ย Everyone has been commenting that as soon as September hit the weather cooled down drastically! ย This past weekend in Toronto was actually beautiful – perfect for star gazing at the Toronto Film Festivalย (TIFF). ย Did you see my video of Ryan Gosling? ย If you “like” Toronto Beauty Reviews on Facebook you probably would have seen it! ย Here is theย link and the video below:
Anyway, I’ve pretty much transitioned into fall. ย I’ve been wearing pants mostly since I have to still dig out my tights! But I thought I would post one of the last times I wore shorts this summer and also me sporting my new purse!

I’ve been eyeing this clutch ever since I saw it on Tiffany of I Am Style-Ishย and I’ve been keeping my eyes open for sales! I love that this clutch has a detachable strap and that it’s long enough to be used as a cross-body.
But…can you see that on a shorty like me it’s a bit too long? ย I prefer my cross-body bags to hit me closer to the hip. ย I would wear this bag like this with a long skirt/dress or with pants. ย I don’t like when cross-body bags hit lower than what I’m wearing on the bottom! ย I also don’t like wearing them with a short skirt even if the purse hits higher than the skirt because it tends to cause the skirt to creep up!
Here is a close up of the bag and then I’ll show how I solved this problem.
This colour is called denim. ย It’s gorgeous! I love that it’s such a vibrant colour but the shade of blue can make it casual too.
So here is a picture of the shortened strap:
All I did was take the hook part where the strap detaches from the clutch and clip it to the ring at the leather part of the strap. ย Then I re-attached the strap back to the clutch.

And now it’s a shoulder bag!
