L’Oreal Youth Code Pore Vanisher

Posted on March 14, 2014November 20, 2015 by Elaine

Since my skin is very sensitive to break outs it often takes me a while to test products out. I usually like to test a skin care product out for at least a week but normally for a whole month so I can see if I notice any difference in my skin’s reaction to something over an entire cycle.

I’m going to admit that I was skeptical about a product that can minimize pores but I have to say I’m actually impressed with L’Oreal’s Youth Code Texture Perfecter Pore Vanisher (what a mouthful!).

L'Oreal-Youth-Code-Texture-Perfector-Pore-Vanisher

I’m happy to report that after weeks of using it day and night I’ve had no breakouts and I’m quite happy with the results!

I see an instant blurring effect when using this and it goes on nicely under my foundation. If you don’t have much to cover then you could probably use this on its own – no foundation needed as it does a great job of evening out the skin tone too. I’m curious to see what the long term results of using this product are as it claims diminish the size and number of visible pores.

If you’d like to try this product out for yourself I have FIVE of these to giveaway PLUS my friends at L’Oreal are also offering a grand prize to one luck winner to win the entire youth code line!

L'Oreal-Youth-Code-Texture-PerfectorAlong with the Pore Vanisher you will also receive the Texture Perfector Serum and the day cream!

Open to Canadians only – you know what to do 😉

Maybe it is an effect of such a harsh winter but my skin has been acting up. It’s drier than usual, so I have to keep moisturizing… the problem is, no matter what moisturizer I use, the pores seem to be more visible in some areas. It would love to try this and see if it would improve things without drying my skin.

I’ve used that product! It does smooth things over in the same way but I personally found my makeup stayed better with the L’Oreal product. I’m not sure if my skin was just in a different stage (sometimes I have to re-try products or switch them out b/c my skin is really strange and may just be finicky at the time I’m trying stuff out). The L’Oreal product is also supposed to be used at night too to minimize pores over time as well as giving you that instant gratification 🙂

Actually, I don’t have large pores and purchased it by accident. I did notice that it evened out my complexion which is impressive. I am a long time user of L’Oreal products, so it would be nice to win this product.

Hi Elaine! LOVE the red hair btw! Just gorgeous! I would like to win this as I already use L’Oreal skin products. The Magic BB cream is the bomb to me. I have tried other “blurring” products in the past but they end up being to “slippery” for my skin. I was looking at this new product from L’Oreal but could not commit, so winning it would be awesome!

Hi Sidney! Thank you so much 🙂 I know what you mean – I have super oily skin and usually blurring products just make my foundation slide off on me too but I’ve had no issues with this one! Hopefully you’ll win and get to try it 🙂 If you do still start off with a tiny amount. Sometimes we apply too much product and actually make the problem we were trying to solve larger 😉

I have quite large pores and some of the products I use don’t help, add that issue under the makeup and it is never fun. I’m quite self conscious when people are so close to me. I will usually use primer as well just to smooth things over but it is quite difficult. Also, with large pores, it clogs easily. I would love to these products. Anything to help with my pores.

Proud ☺️🌈 And loud, since I have the privi Proud ☺️🌈

And loud, since I have the privilege of being able to live my life openly, unlike so many of my 2SLGBTQIA+ peers. I’m a straight-passing cis white woman, so my queerness doesn’t threaten most people.

So, with that advantage in mind, let me use this small platform to say to anyone who is listening:

Never forget that Pride started as a riot.

That Pride is more than slapping a rainbow on something, jacking up the price, and saying “love is love” for four weeks out of the year.

That true allyship involves action and accountability, 365.

That trans women, two-spirit individuals, and queer folks of color are the heart and soul of our community. That they continue to show up, to fight, to love, and to lead while facing very real danger. That we owe so much to their courage.

Never forget that queer folks have always been here.

That you can’t erase us, ban us, or legislate us out of existence.

That queerness is a part of nature.

That it exists even when it’s no longer trendy or politically advantageous.

That we notice and remember who speaks up and who is silent.

That we contain multitudes.

That we deserve safety, compassion, legal protections, love, joy, and a future - just like every other human.

That not all of us are “out” and don’t need to be; that we will invite you in if and when we choose to, and if and when we feel safe to do so.

That queer folks make the world better.

And that, despite seemingly insurmountable odds, we’re going to be ok.

Because resilience, creativity, collaboration, and resourcefulness are fundamental parts of who we are.

So we’re not going anywhere. Get on board.

Happy Pride!

Come with me to pick up the art piece created from Come with me to pick up the art piece created from the flowers in my bridal bouquet! 🥹❤️

Getting my flowers preserved and turned into this incredible piece was one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning. ✨

Amanda and her team are extraordinary artists (and wonderful humans!) who give your flowers a new life and preserve memories. Every time I walk past this piece on my wall, my heart glows with flashbacks of my wedding day.

If you have an important event that includes flowers, do yourself a favor and book with Parched to get them preserved. They accept flowers from across Canada, and have worked on blooms marking all occasions of life, from graduations, baby showers, weddings, and memorials.
