Matrix Biolage Experience

Posted on March 28, 2014March 30, 2020 by Elaine

I had the Matrix Biolage experience not too long ago and can I just tell you – they really know how to pamper a girl!

The re-invented Matrix Biolage has a new improved formula and packaging. I’m glad they didn’t touch the great smell – it’s the same that I remember but they have also launched a brand new in-salon service!

 Matrix-Biolage-Collection

Each of the Matrix Biolage lines was inspired by something in nature and I was taken on a sensory journey to discover each of them.

My day started out at the Four Seasons in Yorkville where I was introduced to the VolumeBloom line.

 Matrix-Biolage-Volume-Bloom-Cotton

For hair that needs volume the VolumeBloom line mimics cotton – fluffy and full! I spent the morning in an incredibly cozy and fluffy robe and went for a luxurious massage at the Four Seasons spa. Can I just say that before laid in the massage bed I couldn’t believe how soft the cotton sheets were too? They were incredible! And….the massage was one of the BEST I’ve ever had. I hope to go back and explore the spa further!

After my massage I headed for a manicure and was introduced to the ColorLast line.

Matrix-Biolage-Colour-Last-Manicure

This line takes inspiration from the beautiful orchid. It will protect hair and keep the colour vibrant and shiny resisting fading (like the orchid) until you’re for your next colour appointment.

OPI-Hawaiian-Orchid

By pure coincidence the colour I chose for my manicure was called Hawaiian Orchid – I was so on point that day!

Next was an amazing lunch at the Four Seasons Café Boulud where a three course meal was enjoyed. I was introduced to the HydraSource line.

Targeted to dry hair, it’s the aloe plant that inspires this line helping add and retain moisture. I enjoyed a refreshing aloe infused mocktail with my meal.

I was so stuffed after lunch but my day wasn’t over yet! Next I was off to the L’Oreal Academy where I discovered the perfect line for me – SmoothProof.

Frizz and humidity are a curly haired girl’s enemies. The  Camellia Flower has water resistant properties which helps to control the hair so it stays smooth and unwanted volume stays away.

Matrix-Biolage-Aromachology

I was able to bring the essence of the camellia flower home as it was one of the ingredients in my custom blended Aromachology fragrance!

Lastly I was treated with the Peli-Cure service which is an in salon polishing treatment to get you silky, shiny and soft hair!

Here is my “before” with follow bloggers Iva and Dee.

And here’s my hair after the SmoothProof + Peli-cure treatment – I think I make a pretty good spokesperson standing next to the banner 😉

I really love working with Matrix Biolage and the entire team so I was pleased when they asked me to be an ambassador and the “face” of the SmoothProof line! I loved learning about all the lines available but I’m looking forward to getting to know the SmoothProof line better and telling you all about it (hint, hint – stay tuned, a giveaway coming soon!)

I had an amazing day and experience with Matrix Biolage and I can only hope for another day like that soon 😉

  • Fresh nails for Spring! This was my first time getting a dip powder mani. It was so interesting! Apparently it’ll last about 3-4 weeks. I like that I didn’t have to cure the nails with a UV lamp, and that there was less filing than with biogel. I decided not to go with extensions today, but that’s an option as well. So far I’m a fan! Do you prefer shellac, bio-gel, dip, or natural nails? —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #springmani #dippowdernails #dipmanicure #toronto #torontonails #torontopr #dipnails #nailinspo #bluenails #shortnails #opidippowder #organicnailbar #organicnailbarto #kingwest #freshnails #nailstagram #simplenails #nailsalon
