Mother’s Day is just around the corner. I always have a hard time figuring out what to get for my mom because she’s pretty low maintenance and there’s usually nothing material she really wants. She loves socializing and going out for dinners and lunches so we will definitely be having a nice family meal out. Here are a few gift ideas I had in mind – maybe it will help any last minute shoppers out there!
Lush has some great Mother’s Day gift packs. I particularly like this one because it comes with my favorite
Dream Cream!
A spa package is obviously another great way to pamper mom. Some moms like their time alone, while others like bonding time with their daughters. For some alone time my favorite place in the city for facials is of course
Pure + Simple Spas.
If your mom is like my mom and doesn’t like to take the time out to enjoy a facial she can still get that youthful glow through microdermabrasion and light therapy over at fresh.beautiful: the skin studio in just 1 hour – located conveniently in the Queen and John area. (Great place to grab some lunch after too!)
For some bonding time I recently discovered Hammam Spa located at 602 King Street West.
A great place for side by side manis and pedis this place is a great spot for some mother daughter bonding. There are also private suites where 2 people can enjoy a variety of services together.
I went for the first time at the end of summer/start of fall and it was a really great experience! I was supposed to go for my birthday but bad weather put a dent in my plans. I think my mom would really enjoy this even though she’s not a big tea drinker!
Finally, jewellery is always a nice gift to give :). As I said my mom isn’t really very high maintenance and she really isn’t into material things which is why just buying a piece of pretty jewellery isn’t going to cut it. I received a wonderful gift of a
Pandora Charm Bracelet from one of my closest friends for my birthday and I really think it’s something any mother can appreciate.
The beauty of this gift is that each bracelet is completely custom as you get to choose which charms to add to your collection. As well, new charms make the perfect future gift for birthdays, Christmas and Mother’s Days to come.
And don’t forget about a pretty card! Often the cards are just as important as the gift.
I’m obsessed with these handmade ones from A Paper Story:
Have you shopped for Mother’s Day yet? What gifts are on your mind to give?
Yes you can re-use it!
That’s awesome! Food and jewellery, can’t go wrong 😉
The Body Shop has some great gift sets too!
LOL buying what she wants is great too!! 😛
That sounds so nice! Have a very happy mother’s day Sydney 🙂
What a nice tradition! It really is, I wish my mom were more girly like me LOL!
The Lush tin is so cute!
Great ideas 🙂 My mum loves for us to cook for her or take her out to eat so we will get some of the “chefs” to do just that 🙂 Plus she always loves jewellery

Those are fantastic idea. My mom is super pick and live far away. Since I won’t be able to take her out to celebrate, I am sending her some money so she can go shopping for herself. My mom prefer that we give her money that way she can buy what she want.
Those are great ideas, Elaine! My Mom doesn’t need much, either. We’re taking her out for Mother’s Day brunch and making her dinner on Sunday with a little gift. She is just happy to have all her children around on Monday’s Day. Happy Mother’s Day to your Mom =)
I think lush is always a great idea for mothers day, but my favourite is the joint pedis. My mom and I go every year for mothers day, its fun to bond over girly things like that. It is also perfect timing since spring is here and we will all be breaking out our open toe shoes soon!
