My first ebeauty.ca purchases and a review

Posted on August 6, 2011 by Elaine

So…I made these purchases in MAY and I’m just posting now ACK! Don’t hate me!!!  This post will be picture heavy as I bought items from Consonant Body, NYX, Vasanti and Too Faced Cosmetics.  I also wanted to do a quick review of ebeauty.ca itself, so that will come at the end of this post.

First up, I ordered the Consonant Body Foaming Face Wash in both the unscented and in citrus bergamot.

Consonant Face Washes 1
I loved how my face felt after my fresh beautiful studio treatments – this is the face wash that is used there.  I was also sent a complimentary Spearmint and Sage Organic Body soap!

I love the labeling 😛

I did a review of this product over at Delectably Chic.
At the time of my purchases, ebeauty.ca was offering a promotion – $180 worth of products for $45.

The inside of the clutch has a bunch of compartments – great for keeping organized

For those of you that are unfamiliar, ebeauty.ca is a fairly new online shopping destination in Canada offering products from often hard to find Brands as well as many Canadian companies.

My shopping experience with them was wonderful and extremely easy.  I really love the look of the website, it’s easy to navigate and add things to your cart.  I like that you can shop per category or by brand.  They always seem to have great promotions going on like the the one I received above and right now they have free shipping on all orders over $25 (normally it’s $75) – this is EXTREMELY reasonable especially when purchasing cosmetics and skincare!  Even $75 minimum is pretty good if you ask me.

The only thing I found a bit strange with my order was that with each brand I ordered from I received a separate email. So I received four separate confirmation and tracking emails for each brand.  Each brand and the bonus items were also shipped individually so I ended up getting my order in 5 separate deliveries.  I think the products are coming from different locations.  Also when some of my products arrived they came from The Shopping Channel  which had me totally confused since I hadn’t ordered from them!  But turns out ebeauty.ca and The Shopping Channel have the same address, so I’m assuming they are associated 😉
The customer service is FANTASTIC.  My Too Faced Shadow Insurance actually took a really long time to arrive – I was in constant correspondence with ebeauty.ca ‘s customer service and we had eventually deemed it lost and they reimbursed me right away.  A couple weeks after this it mysteriously arrived in the mail!  They were really quick to respond to me on both email and twitter which I loved (I have this thing – I like emails to be responded to within 24 hours!)
Anyway, sorry for the late and long post, but I thought it was worth writing about!  Let me know if you’ve ever shopped there before or if there are any brands available on the site that are difficult to get in Canada!
ebeauty.ca can also be found on twitter and on Facebook.

  • Lip balm that changes color depending on your skin’s pH?! @winky_lux pH Lip Balm goes on clear, then transforms to a perfect color based on your skin’s pH (level of acidity). It’s so fun to see what color the balm becomes! It’s giving major mood ring vibes The formula is silky (not sticky), and the color lasts pretty well! So far, I’m impressed. Available at @shoppersbeauty @shoppersdrugmart! —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #winkylux #shoppersdrugmart #shoppersbeauty #drugstorebeauty #affordablemakeup #crueltyfreebeauty #crueltyfree #phlipbalm #moodring #colorchanging #lipbalm #torontopr #torontobeautybloggers

  • Nail extensions that last weeks but don’t damage your natural nails?!?! Check out the process for getting Après-X nail extensions! There aren’t many salons in Toronto that offer this service, but so far, I’m a fan! I love bio-gel, but I have the WEAKEST nails, so after I get the extensions removed, my nails shred and take forever to grow back out. I heard about this soak-off style, and couldn’t wait to check it out for myself! I haven’t gotten them removed yet, but I’ll update you all when I do! ✅ durable like bio-gel ✅ light and thin ✅✅✅
  • Lately, I’ve been feeling a more subtle look. ☁️ Swapping out the black winged liner for a smidge of grey; trading in the full-coverage base for something a little softer. Not exactly sure why, but so far, I like it. ✨ Wearing @milkmakeup sunshine skin tint in light* + @uomabeauty drama bomb mascara* + @annabellecosmetics kohl eyeliner in charcoal* + @madeupbeauty_ lip conditioner in piña colada* + @lysbeautyofficial bronzer in motivate *gifted products @shoppersbeauty @natapr_ @matinee.studio @lexprcanada —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #subtlemakeup #naturalmakeup #crueltyfreemakeup #torontopr #muotd #softmakeup #everydaymakeup #affordablemakeup #thoughtfulchoicesatshoppers
