The Gap and Old Navy have been really good to me lately! I went on a bit of a spree as I needed to stock up on basics (layer tanks, long sleeved tees etc) but I found a couple of fun(er) basics that I have already worn quite a bit. I’ve become an almost exclusive online shopper since the shipping and return policy for The Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic is so great. PLUS I ordered through ebates.ca and at the time they were offering 20.0% cash back!
The first is this crew neck sweater (layered over a v-neck tank that was also purchased). I love this sweater! I’ve been wanted a yellow sweater for sometime now and this is just the perfect basic for me to wear on its own, under a blazer, with a scarf etc. Weird thing is, it’s disappeared off the Canadian site to I linked to the US site below.
I had been on the hunt for a denim jacket for layering. Even though we’re pretty much past Fall a denim jacket is such a great basic to have. Normally I would look for something more fitted in the waist (this is an XS petite) and this jacket is a bit boxy but I actually don’t mind the boxy-ness of it since it’s cropped. I like it but I’m still deciding if I can find something better. Again, vanished from the Canadian site. Link to the US site is found below.
(When I drafted this I forgot about Black Friday deals – Gap has a Black Friday sale for 60% off everything! Happy shopping!)
Yeah I saw those! I was hesitant about them but now I want to check them out since you have them 😛 yeah I love the return policy!
Great buys! Did you check out the sweater dresses at Old Navy? I just bought 2 sweater dresses and 2 regular dresses a couple of weeks ago at such a great deal. Old Navy is becoming one of my favourite stores again, especially with the easy returns 🙂
Thanks Kate! I know, it’s crazy and with all the sales they’ve been having it’s so hard to resist placing an order every week LOL!
Hahaha! I know sometimes that’s how it goes – I have to learn to be ok with paying a little more for something I will get tons of use out of.
Thanks phi! Ok now that you’ve said to keep it I will 😉
Fab finds! I can’t wait to see how you style them!
I’ve also been having such good luck with Old Navy lately – they have so many cute looks!
Love the bright bottoms – especially the pink ones – they are perfect! The yellow sweater looks great too. You are really good at finding things that fit you perfectly!
I went through similar dilemna with my denim jacket. I saw one at American Eagle Outfitter that I loved…but it came out to around $60 or $70 with tax. I thought I wouldn’t wear it that much, so I ended up with a cheaper jacket from Dynamite…but it just never fit right so I ended up going back and getting the AE one (I should have just gotten it to begin with!)
these look great on you! keep the denim jacket – you will get a lot of use out if it!! xox P
Thanks NP! They’re my new favorites!
Thanks! I’m still debating keeping it….
Those cropped pants look great on you!
What a cute denim jacket!
Thanks! Oh goodness no hahaha – I’ve had experiences like that too – sometimes the lining is off or something weird about the stitching who knows! Did you do a lot of shopping already for Black Friday?
Those GAP slim cropped pants look great on you! I love love the look of those pants. I tried the red one in store in size 0 and 2 and they were all lumpy on me for some reason. I must need to work out more 🙂
Thanks Louise! I hope you got some great deals! Yeah I don’t know, I used to love the “hunt” but now I’d rather pay a little more to not have to deal with crowds LOL!
Hi Elaine, those pants are adorable on you – love the colours! I hit the mall earlier today and went on a bit of a spree, also buying basics but they were boring – black suit and pumps. I definitely prefer online shopping, it is exhausting battling the crowds and lineups!
