Nuit Blanche 2012: One of a Kind Jewellery

Posted on October 1, 2012 by Elaine

On Saturday night, I was lucky enough to attend The Art of Fashion’s Nuit Blanche event, held at Hazelton Lanes shops in Yorkville. Along with some fabulous fashion designs, drinks, and appetizers, was some AMAZING shopping opportunities. Little kiosks and booths aligned the entire event, selling one of a kind jewellery and accessories. I adore one of a kind jewellery, and from some of the feedback I was getting on Twitter, so do a lot of you! So I thought I’d show off some of my purchases, as well as some of the jewellery companies I came in contact with.

Perhaps you’ll see something you like too? Warning – picture heavy!

Twists and Facets Jewellery: This cute little booth offered one of a kind pieces, including rings and necklaces made out of old watch parts! I couldn’t help myself, I bought a necklace, with frequent Toronto Beauty Reviews photographer Alessandra Travali purchasing a watch ring. The creator, Renee, can be found on twitter and through etsy.

Cluster Wire Earrings – too cute!

I love it! Watch Necklace from Twists and Facets against my clutch

White Feather Designs: This booth offered these amazing earrings and necklaces that I have never seen before: pyramid style! They were these amazing 3D necklaces and earrings that ‘popped’ off the wearer. So cool! The talented creator, Breanna, can be found here, on her own website.

Fredrick Prince Designs: This booth offered versatile and elegant jewellery. Personally, I thought these pieces worked all season, and my personal favourite were her ‘Good Luck Bangles’. Melissa and her designs can be found here.

Dainty by LouLou Beads: It took a lot of willpower not to buy everything in her little booth. Everything she made had such a daintiness and beauty to them. These items were definitely one of a kind, and personally, I love my dainty pearl bracelet. Alessandra ended up purchasing a one of a kind pearl bracelet (see second photo) as well, with a cotton-waxed thread backing. Gorgeous! Dainty by LouLou can be found here.

Siam Gallery: I cannot begin to describe the absolute beauty of Lek’s designs. She had her own little shop in Hazelton Lanes, and her jewellery caught our eye as we were walking past. Her items are pure luxury – the majority of her designs consists of fresh water pearls and swarovski jewels. All of her creations are hand-made and completely unique. See below for some photos of us wearing her statement necklaces, she was nice enough to let us try them on! If you’re ever in Hazelton Lanes, stop by. If not, she can be found online here.

Her statement necklaces are amazing – and coincidentally matched our colour schemes!

Two years feels like it’s gone by in an instant, and yet I can hardly remember what life was like before you came into our lives. Here’s to many more years of couch snuggles, hikes, vegan wheat-free treats, playdates with your bestie @ripley_the_terrier, and sleepovers with @llabc.ca when Adam & I need a break We love you, Goose. : First pic is by the insanely talented @alexa.studios —————————————————————————— #gotchaday #torontodogs #dogstagram #torontowedding #distillerydistrict #mytbrfave #torontobeautyreviews #tbrcontributors

  • You *know* I had to! Once I had my wedding hair & makeup trial, I put the look TO WORKKK! ✏️ To get a sense of how my look would perform on my wedding day, I did: ✅ a humidity test ✅ a transfer test ✅ a kiss test ✅ a food test ✅ a crying test ✅ an exertion test It was a ton of fun and really gave me a sense of how the look would handle the various stresses of a wedding day. The tests showed what worked well and where we needed to make some small
