ON SCENE: Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spa Launch {CLOSED}

Posted on June 3, 2013November 15, 2015 by Elaine
Normally Ashley and I are not able to attend the same event but on this rare occasion we got to hang out at the Montange Jeunesse event held in May. Here is Ashley’s write up on the event and the exciting new products.
*****
A few weeks ago, Elaine and I attended the Montagne Jeunesse’s Clay Spa Launch. Held at the One King West Hotel (and inside a bank vault, of all things!), a bunch of lovely ladies and beauty bloggers were introduced to the new revolution of at home masks. Read on!

Montagne Jeunesse is the company behind those single-packet masks you can find at your local Wal-Mart. They are natural beauty products that provide minimal impact on the earth and the enviornment. Naturally, their Code of Ethics includes the phrase “Conservation of Energy, Protection of Animals, and the Enviornment“. Nifty that such a well known company cares so much about their footprint on the earth. Furthermore, the have a large following – with over 76,000 followers on Facebook alone.

Here’s a little background on their current facial masks:
  • A number of them are 100% natural, or as natural as can be made
  • Paraben-free enzyme based preservation system
  • All the plant ingredients are grown using sustainable farming methods
  • Never test on animals or use materials that have been testing on animals
  • All products are Vegetarian, with some being Vegan
FarleyCo was kind enough to entertain us with keynote speaker Keith Rockhill, the Sales and Marketing Director for Montagne Jeunesse. We were then introduced to their new Clay Spa Masks!

Want a quick introduction? Watch the commercial here:

Montagne Jeunesse has launched the very first generation of clay spa masks. To be used on a more frequent basis then their regular masks (once a week), these masks are 99% natural. Drawing upon Middle Eastern traditions, these masks are specially sourced clays that are infused into a natural bamboo fabric. Note – they aren’t masks you rub onto the face, it’s a fabric mask that conforms to the face. Neat!

10-15 minutes is all that’s required with these masks, and you can go about your at-home routines while applying. The mask will dry and confirm to your face, all while opening up your pores and lifting away dirt and grime. I intensely recommend that you are alone when you apply these masks – while the results of the masks are amazing, when you wear them, you look a tiny bit like Michael Myers from Halloween, or Jason from Friday the 13th. Unpretty!
Check out the video of consumers using the product, and see what I’m talking about:

There are three new Clay Masks to choose from:

GLACIAL CLAY MASK: Will cool, rehydrate, and clean pores. Infused with Cloudberry (an antioxidant that soothes the skin), Red Grape (an antioxidant protecting skin from free radicals) and Glacial Clay (cools and rehydrates, cleaning pores and removing impurities). Fun fact – the Glacial Clay comes directly from Canada’s Northwest Coast!

DEAD SEA CLAY MASK: Unblocks pores and nourishes skin. Infused with Dead Sea Mud (rich in minerals, draws out impurities), Dead Sea Salt (healing properties), Seaweed (restores moisture levels and revitalizes skin), and Kelp (packed with vitamins and minerals).

RED EARTH CLAY MASK: Protects and heals skin, great for facial infections and acne. Infused with Pomegranate (healing properties), Cinnamon (natural anti-bacterial properties), and Mediterranean Clay (detoxes skin).

Interested? These single packet masks will run you a total of $2.49 CAN, less than a coffee! Pick them up at your local Wal-Mart today!

Thanks so much Ash for the great write up! These masks are so fun to use – but as Ash mentioned they are best applied in private – I would suggest while watching a great chick flick at home 😉
The kind people of Farley Co, distributors of Montange Jeunesse are sponsoring a giveaway for my Canadian readers! How you relax while treating your skin with a mask? Fill out the rafflecopter form below 🙂

  • Trying out @fentyskin’s Cookies & Clean Detox Face Mask! I love a good mask, and goodness knows my skin needs a bit of help nowadays! ➡️This is one of the products I featured in my blog post about Black-owned beauty brands. I love that it’s not too drying, makes my skin feel refreshed, is cruelty-free, and is part of the Clean at Sephora collection! Have you checked out anything from Fenty Beauty or Fenty Skin? —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #blackownedbeauty #blackownedbusinesses #cleanskincare #fentyskin #cleanatsephora #claymask #charcoalmask #crueltyfree #crueltyfreeskincare #crueltyfreebeauty #torontopr #torontoblogger #selfcaresunday #skincareroutine #skincarejunkie #skincarelover #cleanskin
  • Fresh nails for Spring! This was my first time getting a dip powder mani. It was so interesting! Apparently it’ll last about 3-4 weeks. I like that I didn’t have to cure the nails with a UV lamp, and that there was less filing than with biogel. I decided not to go with extensions today, but that’s an option as well. So far I’m a fan! Do you prefer shellac, bio-gel, dip, or natural nails? —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #springmani #dippowdernails #dipmanicure #toronto #torontonails #torontopr #dipnails #nailinspo #bluenails #shortnails #opidippowder #organicnailbar #organicnailbarto #kingwest #freshnails #nailstagram #simplenails #nailsalon
