One Minute Miracle Products

Posted on June 13, 2014June 12, 2014 by Elaine

Have you ever come across products that you deem your “miracle products”? You know, those products that you just can’t seem to live without? The Kit has come out with a list of their 2014 list of  “One Minute Miracle Products” – must have beauty products that will get you ready in a flash!

I received a box full of some of the selected items to test out. Everything from face cleansers to  nail products and I’ve picked my top 5!

one minute miracle, the kit, products, beauty, cosmetics

The selection of products was really great, but here are my favourites and why.

one minute miracle, nail product, cuticle repair, sally hansen

Sally Hansen Cuticle Rehab is my first pick. At first glance I assumed this was just a regular nail oil in a tube. Most nail oils will come in either a tube or a traditional nail polish bottle. But this formulation is has a thick, gel consistency so it’s not messy like an oil! It’s so easy to brush on each of your nails and then just massage in quickly for on the go nail and cuticle repair. Since it’s not a thin liquid texture like an oil I’m not worried that it will leak or spill in my purse which makes it perfect for travel too.

one minute miracle, the kit, no bleeding lips, lip liner

My second pick is a product called No Bleeding Lips. For those of you that love to use lip liner, this product is a must have! My normal routine when using a lip liner is to line and fill my lips with a neutral liner (or one close to my lip colour) then fill in with lipstick or gloss. The problem with this is that the liner sometimes doesn’t match the colour perfectly and I have to be really careful to ensure it’s not showing through. Also, sometimes the colour of the product can be altered because you’re layering it. No Bleeding Lips is a TRANSPARENT lip liner! It goes on so smoothly and quickly and since there is no colour it’s always a perfect match! It’s great to prevent lip colour from feathering or bleeding outside of the lip line.

one minute miracle, the kit, mary kay, makeup spray, finishing spray

Next up is this makeup finishing spray by Mary Kay. I was hesitant to try this out at first since in the past I used some finishing sprays that caused me to break out. I had a few events to attend where I knew I’d be out for a long time so I decided to test drive this product out for those occasions. I was so pleasantly surprised! Just a few quick spritzes once my entire face was made up is all I needed. My makeup just looked more polished and I loved that it pretty much stayed put the whole night. The weather is getting a bit more humid in Toronto so I find after a couple of hours my makeup is already sliding but with this product my makeup still looked presentable and photo ready.

one minute miracle, the kit, consonant, body scrub, all natural

Consonant’s Skin Perfecting Body Scrub is my fourth pick! This product is a great pick me up in the shower. I love the feeling of exfoliating and this scrub feels really good and not harsh at all. I feel like I’m boosting my circulation and giving myself a massage. It washes off really easily and since it’s glycerin based it’s extremely hydrating. And the hydrating claim is no joke! I didn’t even have to apply body lotion and my skin stayed so soft and smooth for the entire day!

one minute miracle, clinique, the kit, moisture, skin creamFinally, my fifth pick is Clinique’s Moisture Surge Intense Cream. This was another product I was hesitant to try since it is formulated for “very dry to dry combination” skin. I tend not to do well with super rich creams since my skin gets very congested but the texture of this one was more gel like so I gave it a try. I’m certainly glad I did! Even though it’s getting warmer and it’s humid out, I still find my skin dehydrated so this really helped to keep my skin moisturized and kept some of my usual dry flakes away.

So there you have it – my top 5 faves among The Kit’s beauty editor’s picks. The Kit will be revealing a new product each day so check out their One Minute Miracle Product section.

They are also holding a contest for a chance to win a whole gift basket full of One Minute Miracle goodies! All you have to do is snap a selfie of you and your One Minute Miracle product and post to Twitter or Instagram and mention The Kit along with the hash tag #oneminutemiracle. Be sure to follow them too! (@TheKitCA on Instagram and @TheKit on Twitter).

I’d love if you tagged me too (@TOBeautyReviews) so I could check out your favourite one minute miracle products!

Have you tried any of these products before? What are your thoughts?

  • ✨ REST IS PRODUCTIVE ✨ @adam__malek got me this sticker for Christmas, and I genuinely cried when I saw it. I need the reminder. The idea that productivity = self-worth is so damaging, and one that is often marketed heavily in the new year. I struggle with the “I haven’t been busy enough to deserve a rest - guess I’ll just take on too many projects and then revenge procrastinate because of burnout and get no sleep, then scramble and feel like I need to do even more!” cycle. I feel compelled to list everything I’ve done on the weekend
  • This is a long video, and a change from our typical content, but it’s something I really wanted to hear your thoughts on. Did this sports team miss an opportunity? Was my student’s question too tough or unrealistic? We still had lots of fun at the pep rally, but the rewording of this question really bugged me. Is “follow your dreams” a satisfying answer in this case? —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #womeninsports #feminist #sexism #aagpbl #domore #mlb #sexisminsport #likeagirl #femaleathlete #foodforthought #bluejays #tbjwintertour #torontobluejays
