It’s getting difficult to find the time and the space to take outfit pictures and when I’m out I always forget to ask someone to snap a picture for me! One time when I was visiting the Blush Pretty Toronto Studio I asked Stephanie to take my picture – we probably should have considered the spotlight behind me and the reflection in the mirror LOL! But oh well! 😛
Skirt: Ann Taylor Factory Lace Crochet Skirt 0P
Belt: H&M XS
Shoe: Avon size 7 (Old)
This gingham shirt is super soft and really comfortable and I like the smaller gignham pattern on me as opposed to the larger pattern and I was more drawn to the brighter sunnier colour of this orange (can’t find online!) as opposed to the classic colours like black and navy. Since I’m petite I personally think smaller patterns look better on me. I also like the look of this casual gingham print paired with the “fanicer” lace crochet skirt! Makes me feel not too dressy and not too casual 😛
What do you think of this combination, does it work for you or would you try something different?

You are preaching to the converted here – I bought a black & white gingham shirt last year and it is a wardrobe essential!

Thanks Cee! I know, I know, I’ve fallen out of the habit of snapping outfit photos!
Thank you Jessy! I just took inspiration from the other ladies 🙂
Welcome to the gingham club! I like how we all chose a different color to fit our wardrobe (or in my case, it’s colorS plural, lol). I think the outfit works because the gingham squares are small. More outfit posts please! 🙂
I like how you paired it with lace! An unexpected combo.
Thank you Tracy! It’s one of my favorite skirts, I want to try dressing it down like this more so I can wear it out more often!
Really? They had so many (though many different colour combos) at mine. I wonder if there is a difference between where the ON’s are located?
LinkWithin issues resolved – I deleted LOL! Thanks for pointing it out!
Thanks Ash! 🙂
Me too! It’s more difficult than I thought – I just don’t have the eye for mixing!
Thank you Michelle, I appreciate it! 🙂

That skirt is still one of my fav purchases last year. I can’t wait to wear it again. You look great, Elaine! Love the pattern mixing. Hope you enjoy the rest of your week.
I love it!! I havent seen this shirt in my ON here!
I love this on you! So cute! BTW…super weird but, your “You might also like” links are pointing to Cee’s blog! I’m guessing that’s a LinkWithin issue. =P
Love the shirt! Great outfit.
Love the comb. I’m trying to get the hang of balancing casual with dressy items.
Cute!
I love this outfit on you Elaine!
