This past weekend was so sunny and nice out. I can’t believe I was able to step outside without a coat and be comfortable!
We didn’t have any specific plans for the weekend, just doing errands and seeing our parents. But I have worn this outfit to work before seeing as my work environment is really casual, but for most people this is probably only suitable for weekend wear.
Jeans: Gap Jean Leggings 00R (here in black)
Shirt: Jacob Connexion (OLD!) XS
Sweater: Old Navy XS (can’t find it online anymore!)
Boots: Miz Mooz size 7
Necklace and bracelet: T+J designs
Oh and yes, if you follow me on twitter you already know that I cut my hair! It was kind of spontaneous and I think it looks better straight, but I don’t mind it curly either.
Just wanted to try a different angle, but it’s still not very creative 😛 Sorry for the hose, we don’t have a very big balcony!
Here’s a close up of the pretty necklace from T+J Designs. I’m sure you know the blogger sisters behind these gorgeous jewels! Tiffany and Jen!
And the linked bracelets which I think might now be sold out? These fit me pretty well, slightly big but they’re not going to fall off. I know there are some ladies with really small wrists out there so unfortunately thse wouldn’t work for you.
I just love how both the necklace and bracelets are so sparkly but they still work (I think!) with a casual outfit like this one.
Could you wear an outfit like this to your workplace?

You look great Elaine! I love your hair and your picked the two pieces that are sold out now 🙂 Love them on you.
Awww thanks so much Annie!
I know I’m so sorry! I should have posted about it earlier 🙁
I love Old Navy, I’m not ashamed to admit it 😛
Thanks SL! Oh yes if my hair stylist didn’t convince me that it would look good curly I would have never done it. I get so lazy to straighten it all the time!
Ahhh Lor, I know, I’m terrible at getting posts up on time! Truth be told I buy stuff and I don’t wear them right away. They literally sit in the bag for a while then I remember and then wear it non-stop LOL! I think I bought the sweater on sale too so it was likely almost sold out even at that time 🙁
Sharon I miss you!!! Jen and Tiffany really do, don’t they? Well they just know what they like and we like what they like LOL!
Yes I’ve always loved the pop that orange can give to a neutral outfit 🙂 Thanks so much for the hair compliment!
Thank you so much Louise, my first pair of skinny jeans ever LOL!
Thanks so much Tara, I’ve been wearing this sweater so much lately.
Thanks Donna! I think I tweeted you about a sale they were having? Make sure to tweet for coupon codes before ordering 😉
eeeks, thanks so much Elle 🙂
Thank you Katherine! I’m really loving the bangles too, they go with anything 🙂
Ahhh Ping thank you so much!! I wasn’t sure how it would look curly but I’m liking it as well. Most people prefer it straight at this length though 🙂
“Jcrew” nice I like it!!!! LOL I could wear a sweatshirt too…in fact some people do it’s crazy! I’m always usually the most “dressed up” one at work but hey I’d rather be slightly overdressed than underdressed 😉
Thanks so much! Sorry for the late replies, this time of year is so busy!
I like everything about this outfit Elaine. The necklace and bracelets go really well. You look really long and lean too 🙂
I am so jealous of your sweater….booo for it not being available anymore!!
I am loving that open knit top. I have a similar one in the same colour from Old Navy as well!
I almost forgot about the chop! I think it looks great curly which is good for you because you don’t want to spend endless hours straightening all the time. And as always, your jewels are gorgeous!
I’d wear it to my old engineering job…because I don’t think they cared what I was wearing 😀
Nice outfit…but I don’t like how almost the whole outfit is unpurchasable! 😛
Hi, I totally would wear that outfit to my workplace. I love the jewelery too- Jen and Tiffany really know how to make us gals sparkle!
Thats a gorgeous sweater and the bright orange top adds that touch of color. Beautiful! I love curly hair and this new short hair suits you!
I love your new hairstyle, it is super chic! Great outfit, the Gap jeans look fabulous on you.
Your hair looks fab Elaine! Love your sweater too!
Curly or straight your hair looks fabulous! And I really love that necklace you’re wearing! I’m gonna check their site out!
i looooove your new hair!!! And that necklace is adorable…something I would totally buy myself!
The curled hair looks really nice on you! And the jewelry looks lovely, those bangles are gorgeous!
elaine– i seriously love your haircut! it’s edgy, cute & stylish at the sametime!
Your necklace is great! It looks very “JCrew” And yes, I could get away with an outfit like this at work. We have no dress code, so I could come in a sweatshirt if I wanted and it would be acceptable, lol! Heather

I wouldn’t have thought to layer a bright orange shirt under the sweater, but I love the effect it created. The boots add to the fall vibe. You look great, and I’m a fan of the new haircut!
