NARS Velvet Lip Glide

Posted on October 18, 2016March 30, 2020 by Sohnee

We’ve got a new season of lip shades, textures, and products, people! This season, I’m excited about a new collection of liquid lip colours:  NARS Velvet Lip Glide ($34). The formula is like a combination of the comfort of a lipstick with the fluidity and effortlessness of a gloss. Each provides you with a semi-matte, silky…

Canadian brand Vasanti Cosmetics has launched their newest universally flattering Lipshine colours. These lip glosses contain Vitamin E and antioxidants to keep lips moisturized and healthy as you wear them. There are also so many pretty shades that I think the biggest problem is picking which one is your favourite! New shades to the lineup all…

Benefit Cosmetics Tinted Lip Balms Review

Posted on June 9, 2014March 30, 2020 by Elaine

Tinted lip balms are a Summer STAPLE in my opinion! I’ve been trying out these new ones from Benefit Cosmetics and I’m in love. If you’re a fan of Benefit then you’ll know about their iconic lip and cheek stains. These tinted balms are the “little sister” to each of the shades. In the summer you…

BEAUTY ROUND UP: 3 Lip Products to Try

Posted on November 21, 2013March 30, 2020 by Elaine

We can’t deny it any longer. Dry skin, especially lips are now an issue and it’s the time of year to take extra care of our skin. My lips are always the first to suffer the impact of the change in weather. They get really chapped and flaky and applying lip colour can look awful….

Review: mark lipstain

Posted on February 7, 2011November 22, 2014 by Elaine

I have a ton of lipsticks and lipglosses – I’m really not even sure how many I have! mark lipstain in bella: ^eek don’t mind my extremely dry hands – damn Winter!^ I like the creamy but shiny texture of this stain.  It’s thicker and more pigmented than a gloss but more sheer than a…

  • Nail extensions that last weeks but don’t damage your natural nails?!?! Check out the process for getting Après-X nail extensions! There aren’t many salons in Toronto that offer this service, but so far, I’m a fan! I love bio-gel, but I have the WEAKEST nails, so after I get the extensions removed, my nails shred and take forever to grow back out. I heard about this soak-off style, and couldn’t wait to check it out for myself! I haven’t gotten them removed yet, but I’ll update you all when I do! ✅ durable like bio-gel ✅ light and thin ✅✅✅
  • Lip balm that changes color depending on your skin’s pH?! @winky_lux pH Lip Balm goes on clear, then transforms to a perfect color based on your skin’s pH (level of acidity). It’s so fun to see what color the balm becomes! It’s giving major mood ring vibes The formula is silky (not sticky), and the color lasts pretty well! So far, I’m impressed. • The big reveal!!! TL;DR - removal was painless and left my nails in a WAYYYY better state than with dip or bio-gel removal I did still have some trouble with the ends being thin (defs needed to trim the length so they wouldn’t rip ), but the rest of the nail bed was so much more comfortable and healthy-looking than when I’ve had other long-wear manis removed ✅ All in all, I’d say I’m definitely an Après-X convert! Especially as someone who doesn’t want to get a mani every month, this is perfect for special occasions. The nails were really
