Almay 5 Minute Face

Posted on August 11, 2014January 21, 2016 by Sohnee

Recently Almay Canada hosted a picnic in the city for bloggers and media attendees. National Product Trainer Jacquie Hutchinson taught guests all about her favourite Almay products plus how to use them to put together a quick and polished everyday face. Sohnee checked out the event and she used her favourite products for her own version of…

Backstage Beauty World Mastercard Fashion Week

Posted on April 3, 2014March 30, 2020 by Elaine

There were some really gorgeous backstage beauty looks created for the run way at World Mastercard Fashion Week recently. It’s difficult to portray them all so I picked the looks that stood out for me the most! This post will focus on the makeup by Maybelline NY Canada’s lead artist Grace Lee. It was hard…

Posted on September 17, 2013 by Elaine

When I sent Ashley to the the Make Up For Ever Seminar at the Canadian Beauty College she of course could not leave empty handed! • I love puzzles - especially word and math games - and KenKens are one of my faves! I’ve been completing a LOT of these over the holiday. Such a fun way to take a break from screens and challenge your brain ➡️ Screenshot the blank board to play along with me! (No cheating! ) ⏱️How long did it take you to solve the puzzle? This was one of my fastest (1:35), but I average around 3 mins. Once the grid grows to 7x7, however, I take MUUUUCH longer —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #torontopr #torontoblogger #nerdlife #kenken #brainteaser #math #puzzle #holiday #winterbreak #boredombuster
  • ✨ REST IS PRODUCTIVE ✨ @adam__malek got me this sticker for Christmas, and I genuinely cried when I saw it. I need the reminder. The idea that productivity = self-worth is so damaging, and one that is often marketed heavily in the new year. I struggle with the “I haven’t been busy enough to deserve a rest - guess I’ll just take on too many projects and then revenge procrastinate because of burnout and get no sleep, then scramble and feel like I need to do even more!” cycle. I feel compelled to list everything I’ve done on the weekend
  • This is a long video, and a change from our typical content, but it’s something I really wanted to hear your thoughts on. Did this sports team miss an opportunity? Was my student’s question too tough or unrealistic? We still had lots of fun at the pep rally, but the rewording of this question really bugged me. Is “follow your dreams” a satisfying answer in this case? —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #womeninsports #feminist #sexism #aagpbl #domore #mlb #sexisminsport #likeagirl #femaleathlete #foodforthought #bluejays #tbjwintertour #torontobluejays

  • Happy NYE, folks! For those who had a great 2022, cheers a fab end to a fab year. To those for whom 2022 was not so great - toast to a new beginning!
