Now that the weather is finally cooling down I can’t get away with letting my hair air dry much anymore. In the summer I had the freedom to let my hair dry naturally as the heat outside dried my hair in no time!
With the colder weather approaching I’ve turned back to using my hot tools so it was timely when I was asked to test out the Karmin G3 Salon Pro Hair Dryer.
The Karmin G3 Salon Pro Hair Dryer
is a pretty compact and fairly lightweight hair dryer. I’ve had hair dryers that were so heavy I’d have to take rests in between drying my hair as my arms were getting tired (granted I’m not the most fit person around so I’ll let you draw your own conclusions…).
Here’s how it comes in the package. I hope this is a regular thing now – you can see the hair dryer comes with a nozzle AND a diffuser! In the past when I was shopping for hair dryers I almost always had to buy a diffuser separately.
Like most dryers this one has a cool shot button, 3 temperature settings and 2 speeds. When I diffuse my hair I usually use a medium temperature and I usually always use a high speed. I think most would recommend a lower speed but I don’t have the patience to wait to keep the dryer on my hair for long.
The diffuser attachment is easy to use it just twists on and is very secure. On my old hair dryer the diffuser would constantly fall off as I was using it and it got very annoying.
So here is my curly hair after drying for a few minutes with the diffuser attachment on.
Even though I’m using a hair dryer to dry my hair in the colder months I still NEVER dry curly hair fully. You’ll just end up with frizz that way!
And I tried my hand and straightening my hair with the nozzle attachment. This is the time when my hand usually gets tired from using the dryer for so long as it normally takes me 1.5 hours or so to blow dry my own hair straight (which is why it’s not common for me to have blown out hair).
You can see it’s a bit frizzy but I’m chalking that up to my lack of skills. My hands never got tired while doing my hair and this only took me 40 – 45 minutes! (Yes I know that’s still a long time but compared to 1.5 hours it’s amazing!)
This dryer definitely met my wish list for things I look for. It’s lightweight, comes with both diffuser and nozzle attachments and sped up my styling time.
If you’re in the market for a new hair dryer I would definitely suggest checking this one out.
