I’ve never put any thought into hairspray what so ever. It was always just there when I needed it. I paid no attention to the different brands or styles. I never used it on a daily basis – my hair was so long, hairspray seemed unnecessary.
And then I got bangs.
Anyone else who has bangs can testify that bangs can be unpredictable. And with the fact that I am currently growing my bangs out (my hair grows like a weed), I tend to pin back my bangs when I’m at the office. And the easiest way to make them stay put? L’Oreal’s Elnett Hairspray!
Product: L’Oreal Elnett Hairspray
What It Claims: “…gives you strong, clean hold with a dazzling shine and satin touch…”
Available In: Extra Strong Hold, Colour Treated, Strong, Mini, etc
Review: I’m in love with this hairspray. It’s so easy to use, it’s ridiculous. I think I always hated hairsprays just because of the smell, and the fact that it always seemed to leave a residue behind after application. This hairspray is completely different.
It’s weightless – it doesn’t weigh down your hair at all. I’ve been using it on my bangs (especially when I pin them back), and it doesn’t leave my hair limp and heavy with product. It even adds a bit of bounce to my hair, a little ‘bump’ in my bangs! It blends – it doesn’t leave any sort of residue behind. There are no white marks, white fluff, or dandruff like flakes left behind. It’s flexible – the spray keeps your hair in place without the helmut-like feel of permanency. You can run your fingers through your hair and maintain the style!
What I love the most about this product – it comes in mini sizes. That way, instead of committing to the large size, you’re able to try out the hairspray in a handy, compact edition at a fraction of the price. The only real drawback? It’s kind of expensive for a hairspray.
Verdict: I’ll definitely keep using it for as long as I’m growing out my bangs. The mini-editions are great for travelling and for trying out the product. And if you’re in bind, they are perfect price wise!
