TIFF 2012 Red Carpet looks with L’Oreal

Posted on September 13, 2012December 14, 2014 by Elaine

One of my favorite brands, L’Oreal,  is a proud sponsor of this year’s TIFF and they threw a fun party last week to show us their favorite red carpet looks! The event was held at the Panorama Lounge which is located on the 51st floor of the Manulife Centre. I hadn’t been there in ages!

Here are few of TIFF12 looks that L’Oreal is loving:

Julianne Moore

Ok, can I just say how STUNNING this woman is? Her skin, her hair, that outfit – wow! And I’m loving the understated makeup – she’s letting her nature features do the talking 😉

To get this look with L’Oreal products try out Colour Infallible shadows on the eyes in Sahara Treasure and Coconut Shake along with Voluminous Smoldering Liner. Don’t forget the lashes! VoluminousFalse Fibre Lashes in Black Laquer will add drama for the cameras. Also, I love a good nude lipstick, try out Colour Riche Made For Me Naturals in Dune.
Emily Blunt

Another lady that’s always red carpet ready is Emily Blunt. She always looks so elegant! And she’s looking fantastic in red!

To get her perfect look with L’Oreal try a little bit of colour on the eyes with Colour Infallible shadows in Forever Pink and Purple Obsession (sorry links to actual colours not working!). Try skipping the liner and adding loads of drama with Volumious 24H mascara. Subtly sculpted cheeks are a must for photo ops so try out The One Sweep Scultping Blush Due in Poppy. Last but not least Emily’s smile is muted but I just love the soft pink colour! Try out Colour Caresse colour Riche in Cotton Pink.

Want to see my red carpet look? Haha totally kidding – I would LOVE if someone would first of all invite me to a red carpet and I would also welcome anyone that wanted to dress me for one 😉

Thanks to Ashley for snapping these photos for me – I completely forgot my camera this night!
And if you follow me on instagram (TOBeautyReviews) I showed a close up of my accessories and the textures of my outfit:

To get yourself all glammed up during TIFF be sure to check out the huge L’Oreal Tent at the David Pecaut Square right in front of Roy Thompson hall (which may I add is usually where I get lucky and see stars on the red carpet!). There will be samples, gift with purchases and also a nail bar where you can get a complimentary manicure (first come, first serve).  TIFF is only on until Sunday so make sure you get out there!

  • Fresh nails for Spring! This was my first time getting a dip powder mani. It was so interesting! Apparently it’ll last about 3-4 weeks. I like that I didn’t have to cure the nails with a UV lamp, and that there was less filing than with biogel. I decided not to go with extensions today, but that’s an option as well. So far I’m a fan! Do you prefer shellac, bio-gel, dip, or natural nails? —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #springmani #dippowdernails #dipmanicure #toronto #torontonails #torontopr #dipnails #nailinspo #bluenails #shortnails #opidippowder #organicnailbar #organicnailbarto #kingwest #freshnails #nailstagram #simplenails #nailsalon

  • Trying out @fentyskin’s Cookies & Clean Detox Face Mask! I love a good mask, and goodness knows my skin needs a bit of help nowadays! ➡️This is one of the products I featured in my blog post about Black-owned beauty brands. I love that it’s not too drying, makes my skin feel refreshed, is cruelty-free, and is part of the Clean at Sephora collection!
