Two Lush Products I adore: Dream Cream and 25:43 fragrance

Posted on April 3, 2012March 30, 2020 by Elaine

Oh boy, another long overdue review! Sorry guys! Being a product junkie I usually am trying out a new product before I’m even done the first. Especially with body lotions and creams. There are so many out there! Different textures, different scents – I bounce around from product to product depending on my mood. There is rarely a product out there I use completely from the moment I open the product to scraping the bottom of the container for the last bit of lotion. Besides my Thann Body Butter,
Lush Dream Cream has been another winner for me.

It’s pretty light in texture and goes on really easily and absorbs instantly! While I love lotions that absorb quickly (who has the time to stand there in the mornings rubbing lotion into their skin?) many of these lotions also don’t have the moisturizing effect that I like. Well Lush’s Dream Cream is nothing like that – it really works! If you’re curious, here are the ingredients:

Full of great ingredients for your skin! This product does contain methylparaben and propylparaben so for those of you weary of these 2 ingredients this may not be the product for you.  I personally loved the smell of this product too. My husband on the other hand hates the smell of Tea Tree oil so while the Tea Tree oil scent isn’t too overpowering he still scrunched his nose at it. But I can totally see why this is Lush‘s # 1 product!
The other product that I was weary about at first was the Gorilla Perfume in scent “25:43“ but I’m really loving the way it makes me feel ….let me explain!
Lush perfume
At first I thought the scent was a bit strong, as soon as I opened the box I was a bit overwhelmed by the scent which is the reason why I actually stay clear of Lush stores (sorry Lush! Love your products, but the sensitive nose on this gal can’t cope with your stores!).  I stuck this scent in my bedside drawer for a while thinking it would be way too strong to actually wear if I could already smell it out of the bottle!

But the scent began to grow on me mainly because when I did smell it I noticed that I felt inexplicably calmer. The scent reminded me of something but I couldn’t place my finger on it.  Then it hit me…it reminded me of the scent of my former beloved yoga studio!!  It wasn’t the EXACT same scent, there is definitely notes of vanilla (which I normally find too sweet most times) which seem to soften the scent up quite a bit.

The best part of this scent is actually the story behind it.

“LUSH inventor and co-founder Mark Constantine created this perfume especially for his son Simon on his wedding day. Simon’s bride wore this fresh and citrusy perfume down the aisle, and it captured the moment beautifully with notes of tonka and lime accord. Simon (not one to be bested by his Dad) later added notes of lemongrass, vanilla, ylang ylang and listsea to round out the already light and clean essence of 25:43. Truly born of a romantic notion, share this perfume with your partner to create your own scented memories!”

So these two products are definitely winners for me. If you haven’t shopped Lush lately maybe this week would be a good time! They have the cutest Easter items out right now.

This product makes me laugh, it’s called “Immaculate Eggception” it’s a fizzing bath bomb with a surprise inside!

Check out all their new product in store on online.

  • ✨ REST IS PRODUCTIVE ✨ @adam__malek got me this sticker for Christmas, and I genuinely cried when I saw it. I need the reminder. The idea that productivity = self-worth is so damaging, and one that is often marketed heavily in the new year. I struggle with the “I haven’t been busy enough to deserve a rest - guess I’ll just take on too many projects and then revenge procrastinate because of burnout and get no sleep, then scramble and feel like I need to do even more!” cycle. I feel compelled to list everything I’ve done on the weekend
  • This is a long video, and a change from our typical content, but it’s something I really wanted to hear your thoughts on. Did this sports team miss an opportunity? Was my student’s question too tough or unrealistic? We still had lots of fun at the pep rally, but the rewording of this question really bugged me. Is “follow your dreams” a satisfying answer in this case? —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #womeninsports #feminist #sexism #aagpbl #domore #mlb #sexisminsport #likeagirl #femaleathlete #foodforthought #bluejays #tbjwintertour #torontobluejays
