Well from my mom that is! Ever since I got to try out the Marcelle BB Cream I was excited to try out the one from Vichy. But then I read that it was targeted to those with mature skin containing anti-aging ingredients.
I tried the product on my hand and immediately noticed that it was quite pink as opposed to “skin coloured” of other BB creams I have seen recently. These rosy colour pigments are meant to give the skin a healthy-looking luminous glow
I tried it out and her and it was looove! Admittedly she has really nice skin already – much better than mine! She is concerned mostly about unevenness and some dark spots that she has. She hardly wears makeup too (I have no idea where I came from!) usually just some pressed powder for shine. When I put the Vichy BB cream on her she loved how light weight it felt and it seemed to just “blur” the imperfections she was aware of. It didn’t look pink on her at all either. It gave her a nice bright glow and her cheeks looked healthy and rosy! Definitely a winner for her!
Another product from Vichy also for mature skin is LiftActiv Serum 10:
The texture of this product is nice and lightweight, not greasy at all. It absorbs into the skin quickly and leaves a smooth velvety texture to the skin.
A powerful anti-aging serum that is also safe for sensitive skin only a couple drops is needed both morning and night.
I left this serum with my mom to try out and after a week I asked her how she liked it and she was all giddy and happy saying that she felt like her face was “lifted and tighter” and all her friends were complimenting her on her skin. I was so happy to hear that it was working well for her!
If you’re looking for some “lift” and want your skin to appear smoother then I highly recommend giving this serum a try.
As for the BB cream I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for younger people too. Just be aware that you have to have quite good skin already as it doesn’t provide much coverage, it’s a nice alternative to a tinted moisturizer however a sunscreen is needed as there is no SPF in this product.
***Disclosure: products were sent to me for review consideration***
Cool! I was wondering about this one. But it is a bit steep in price I think, but I’d still like to give it a try. Too bad there’s no samples.
LOL ML, I wish I could enter you to win something but no contest on this one 😉
Hey M! Yeah the price point is definitely higher, if you find the Marcelle BB cream works fine for you then I would stick with it! I’m sure it’s all the other claims and anti-aging ingredients in the Vichy BB cream that justify the price. If it were face cream I would have no problem paying that price!
I’m glad you liked the pictures! It’s difficult to take pictures of skin care/ foundation as when you blend it in you shouldn’t see it LOL!
I’ve heard all the rage about BB Creams and this one sounds like its perfect for me! Aging… I am getting old after all! =)
You did an excellent post on this Elaine! Please enter me, I want to WIN!

I was going to try this BB cream (as I am pink toned-and kind of worried about aging) until I saw the price….no way am I paying over $40 for a BB cream (and no I didn’t purchase Estee Lauder’s either-theirs is $42, I think?). I swatched it at Rexall but price point is way too high and Marcelle’s BB cream is gold in my eyes!
Nice post btw 🙂 I especially like the close up pictures-I really get a good idea of texture. Appreciated
Have you tried the one from Marcelle yet? I didn’t find it pink at all!
BB Creams usually lean really pink on me — still on the hunt for one that’s adequately yellow/olive. One day!
Let me know if you pick this serum up, I’d love to know what you think! You’re so lucky, I have to wear a full face of makeup, my dream is to one day feel comfortable going out bare faced!
Hi Callandra! I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for your skin, especially if it’s dry. It’s meant to boost moisture and it has all the anti-aging properties. If you want I can send you more information on the products by email. Just let me know!
these days, i’m all about serums that fight wrinkles/slow the sands of time so i might take a look at that lifting serum. thanks for the review!
i’ve heard tons about bb creams but i’m not a fan of covering my entire face with makeup…. sort of the reason why i stopped using my tinted moisturizer.
Hmmm.. both products sound very really good actually. In fact, I’m wondering if the LifActive Serum wouldn’t work as a primer under makeup as well! My skin is very dry so I try to treat it more like a “mature” skin since it will definitely wrinkle faster.
