I still love BB creams – if you remember my series from the summer, I had a ‘Battle of the BB Creams’ where I pitted various brand name BB creams against each other to determine the best of the best. Now, I’ve come across another yet another amazing BB cream. Does it stand up against the other BB creams out there? Read on!

Available In: Two Shades (Light & Medium)
Review: Vichy Laboratories is one of those brands that puts so much scientific analysis and dedication into their products. Therefore, I knew the quality of these BB creams was going to be substantive. And, as I anticipated, I wasn’t wrong – this BB cream is great!
The cream almost glides onto the skin – it’s not as thick as foundation, but it provides just enough coverage to cover up imperfections and flaws (as always, for major marks, you may need a bit of concealer overtop / underneath). The BB cream is airy enough to allow your pores to breathe. I also enjoyed the fact that it almost ‘mattified’ my skin – it evened out everything I wanted it to even out, without making my skin an oily mess. As the day wore on, the product stayed put, and my skin seemed ‘soft’ and ‘dewy’.
(R) to (L) – Light and Medium |
Lucky for me, the Light was a perfect match of my skin (I’m immensely pale). The Medium is just a tad darker than the Light (almost like a self-tanner), so the only drawback is that there is a very limited range of tones available. I’m hoping that they release different shades in the future.
Final Verdict: Very good BB cream! I enjoyed the long lasting coverage and the dewy, soft look it gave my skin. I think Vichy has provided a solid BB cream in a growing market, and I think it provides a little bit more ‘bonus’ items that others creams (i.e. SPF, hypoallergenic, paraben free, etc). Check it out!

As always, my email is ashley@torontobeautyreviews.com.
I use BB cream daily because it evens out my skin tone.
I’ve never tried one before but am interested in Vichy products.
I havent tried one before, however love Vichy products and would love to try this…hoping the colour matches my skin tone!
I have only tried one once and loved it, It was a sample, and I threw out the pack thinking “oh, I will remember that name” and.. I didn’t!! which is crappy cause I loved it and wanted more. I would love this!
I’ve yet to try a BB cream! I should probably get on that haha
BB Cream is a staple for me because it helps even my skin tone so much!
I use BB cream each morning as a moisturizer. It is great for evening out skin tone.
I dont use it every day. I interchange between BB cream and tinted moisturizer.
I have never tried a BB cream!
i haven’t tried it yet because i’m not sure how my skin would react to it. your reviews do help though!

Just an aside, I believe the Marcelle one has an SPF version now!
I have not tried BB cream yet. It sounds like I should though!
I have not tried it yet, but I have heard good things about it!
No, I haven’t tried it yet.
I’ve not tried it yet. Sounds like something I should try.
started trying a couple of brands this year, it seems like everyone’s trying to get in on the market!
thx for the review I love bb cream too!
I use BB cream every morning, it has replaced foundation for me.
i use BB cream every morning! definitely a staple
Thanks for the reply, Ashley! I guess price-wise, Marcelle is a little cheaper than Vichy (unsure of the price per mL though). I am really looking forward to trying either of these products!
Keep up the great work on the site!
This summer BB creams were my staple. It is so easy to toss on and go.
I have tried a few different brands of BB creams but haven’t yet made it a staple. I haven’t yet found the “perfect” BB cream for my skin.
Exciting giveaway – I’d love to try this cream! xo
Not yet, I haven’t try any BB cream… But after reading what it promise to do I want to
Hello Kate! I have to agree with you – I’ve just started their Aqualia Thermal moisturizer and I. am. in. love! I haven’t parted with it, I know it’s going to be a new staple.
I’ve started comparing ALL BB creams to the Marcelle one, just because I think Marcelle really hit it ‘out of the ballpark’ with their BB cream. If I have to pick between the two, Marcelle is still my go to favourite, but to be honest, Vichy is a very, very close second. I think Vichy puts so much time, effort, and analysis into all their products that it shows in their work. Vichy provides SPF coverage (Marcelle doesn’t) so it could be a real factor in decision making with some. Vichy seems to be a little more ‘airy’ and ‘lighter’ than Marcelle, but Marcelle’s is slightly more pigmented, coverage wise. Marcelle still has a soft spot for me, but Vichy’s is also now in my makeup bag permanently, as well.
I hope I didn’t ramble too much! Thanks for commenting, Kate!
No it is not a staple yet.. I never got the chance to try it yet.
Thanks
I loved your review of the BB creams and you have definitely made my decision alot easier! I love Vichy products (their Aqualia Thermal line is amazing for my dry skin!) and I’m looking forward to trying this out!
One question – how does this compare to the Marcelle BB cream? I know that one was also one of the better ones, just wanted to know your thoughts!
bb cream has recently become a staple in my makeup routine. even if i’m not wearing anything else. it is so light and gives great coverage.
I honestly don’t know how I lived without BB cream all my life. It truly is a miracle product!
