Lotus Aroma Products

Posted on September 22, 2014March 30, 2020 by Alysia

Discovering new Canadian brands is always exciting. Alysia reviewed some products from a company that’s been around for quite some time – but like me you may not have heard about them before. Check out Lotus Aroma Products and read what Alysia thought about them.

*****

Even though Lotus Aroma has been around since early 1990s, this Quebec-based skin and body care line is now conquering North America with its plant origin products in an eco-friendly packaging that is recycled, recyclable and biodegradable. They offer environmentally friendly products for face and body and stands by the importance of using the finest natural ingredients.

Lotus-Aroma-footcare

The first two products I tested are from their foot care line. Ideally, the two go hand-in-hand and should be used together.  The 3-in-1 Foot Care Restorative Balm with AHA heals, restores and revitalizes your typical foot problems – calluses, odour and fungi. It softens dry, rough, cracked heels while the natural AHA helps exfoliates. It then refreshens while providing a layer of hydration. Lotus Aroma recommends that you use this balm for the first four days of the week and then switch over to their Foot Care Moisturizing Cream for the last three days. The cream contains essential oils and vitamins A & E to sooth dry skin. When massaged morning and night, it provides more hydration and moisture to aching, tired feet. Both balm and cream are non-greasy and quickly absorb, so you can apply before putting on your sandals/heels. They each deliver a refreshing scent that masks any odours, and helps with sweaty feet. I really like using the combination of both. I only wish that was able to use these products more in the summer. I know it’s going on come in handy in the winter when our feet are more rough. The balm will help soften and hydrate during the dry winter months.

Lotus-Aroma-youth-anti-wrinkle-night-serum

The two skin care products I tried were the Refreshing Micellar Solution and Youth Anti-Wrinkle Night Serum. We all know how hard it is to remove waterproof mascara and we also know how hard it is to find a product that will remove said waterproof mascara. The Refreshing Micellar Solution ($18) is my new answer. The soap and alcohol-free formula with floral waters removes makeup from around the eyes, lips and face. It also removes impurities and protects skin from environmental pollutions. The rinse-free solution is ideal for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers (that’s me!). What I like most about this solution is the scent and the pump on the bottle. My face feels fresh after I use it and I also feel that there is no trace of makeup left on my face. In the evening, before putting on night cream, I use the Youth Anti-Wrinkle Night Serum ($46). The serum smoothes out unevenness with a rich formula of natural AHA and BHA – which coats and improves the skin, while promoting cell renewal. The vitamin E moisturizes the skin, filling in lines and wrinkles. After several uses, I began to see how my face looked hydrated in the morning and more even. Not sure if it is filling in wrinkles because I am lucky I don’t have any yet! 😉

Lotus-Aroma-velvet-body-lotion
Lastly, I tested the Velvet Body Lotion ($16). This lotion smells AH-MAZING! I have been using the Sicilian Mandarin and it smells like someone just peeled an orange; and we all know how refreshing that is. It’s packed with vitamin E, shea butter and oils of Moringa, Sea Blackthorn and Inca Inchi. It’s also non-greasy and fast-absorbing. It smoothes, heals, hydrates, protect, relieves tightness, reduces redness and irritation while increasing the skin’s firmness and youthful appearance – basically everything you want in a body lotion. The lotion also comes in other blends – Ho Wood, Cedar and Exotic Verbana, True Lavender and Exotic Verbana, Orange and Lemon.

All-in-all, I am extremely impressed with this line and I want to try their other products. Prices are fairly reasonable and I love the white packaging. I am very curious to try their facial toners because facial mists are my new thing before putting on any type of cream or lotion on my face.

Have you heard of Lotus Aroma products before? Which one of these catches your attention?

  • Fresh nails for Spring! This was my first time getting a dip powder mani. It was so interesting! Apparently it’ll last about 3-4 weeks. I like that I didn’t have to cure the nails with a UV lamp, and that there was less filing than with biogel. I decided not to go with extensions today, but that’s an option as well. So far I’m a fan! • I got Botox! (Technically, I got Nuceiva, which is a different brand of neuromodulator, but does the same thing) I’ve been feeling uncomfortable with the fine lines on my forehead, and wanted to try out neuromodulators! It was easier and much less painful than I anticipated, but definitely was a bit of an emotional journey. ➡️ I got 24 units during this visit, at a cost of $11 each. (Cost will vary depending on brand of neuromodulator, the clinic you choose, and the person who does the treatment) ➡️ This treatment will probably last around 3 months, and then will
