My Fave Folly Fire Products

Posted on May 16, 2021May 16, 2021 by Maddie

Something about bright sunshine and warmer weather makes me want to have fun with my makeup. For bold shades to help me shake up my makeup routine, I absolutely love Folly Fire. Read on to learn more about this brand and check out some looks I’ve created using their products!

{My Fave Folly Fire Products}

Disclaimer: Products mentioned in this post were provided to me at no cost for editorial consideration. All opinions are my own.

While my daily look consists of lip balm and basic winged liner, my heart will always go towards colourful makeup. And on those occasions when I want to really play, I’ve been using Folly Fire products.

Some of the reasons I love Folly Fire:

  • Insane colour payoff
  • Comfortable, long-wear formulas
  • Vegan
  • Cruelty-free
  • Paraben-free
  • Fragrance-free
  • Accessible prices

The Syncope Palette

The Syncope palette ($32 USD) is incredible! I love the variety of finishes, from matte pastels to inky black to seductive shimmers. Syncope is one of the few palettes where the colour payoff on the skin is exactly as it is in the pan. Talk about high impact! Don’t be scared away by the bold hues, though: each shade blends out beautiful for a more subtle look if desired.

Hot Terrain Bronzing Blush in Baked

As with Folly Fire’s eyeshadows, their blush blends easily and can be layered for a bolder look. Formulated with oat kernel oil and poppyseed oil, this blush never feels powdery, but instead melts into the skin for long-lasting colour. The shade Baked ($20 USD) is a gorgeous earthy brown-red that can be worn year-round. Pro tip? Brush some on the bridge of your nose for an extra sunkissed glow.

Matte Manipulation Lipstick in Sunset Blvd

Over the past few years, I’ve been leaning more towards liquid lipsticks. But Folly Fire’s Matte Manipulation line has me in a cream lipstick love affair! This formula is amazing: so creamy and hydrating (thanks to Argan oil!) that my lips absolutely adore it. The lipstick can be blotted for a subtler look or layered for full coverage.  Sunset Blvd ($17 USD) is a dusty rose shade that’s perfect to give your everyday look a boost.

Astral Trip Gloss in Crystal Craze

For times when you’re looking to bring some bling into your lip colour, Folly Fire’s glosses are a must-have. Iridescent but wearable, Astral Trip glosses avoid the stickiness that ruins so many other brands’ offerings. Once again, Folly Fire’s plant-forward formulas are the key here: this gloss is made with cocoa butter, aloe vera juice and cucumber extract to hydrate and condition lips. Crystal Craze ($18 USD) is pure 90’s heaven: a sheer silvery base and blue reflexes that’ll have you ready to dance the night away (in your living room, until restrictions are lifted).

Three looks I created using Folly Fire products! Which one is your fave?

Folly Fire products have brought so much joy and playfulness back into my makeup routine! With smart formulas and bold colours, I know I’ll be using these eyeshadows, blushes, lipsticks and glosses for years to come.

Have you tried something from Folly Fire?

  • Trying out @fentyskin’s Cookies & Clean Detox Face Mask! I love a good mask, and goodness knows my skin needs a bit of help nowadays! ➡️This is one of the products I featured in my blog post about Black-owned beauty brands. I love that it’s not too drying, makes my skin feel refreshed, is cruelty-free, and is part of the Clean at Sephora collection! • Fresh nails for Spring! This was my first time getting a dip powder mani. It was so interesting! Apparently it’ll last about 3-4 weeks. I like that I didn’t have to cure the nails with a UV lamp, and that there was less filing than with biogel. I decided not to go with extensions today, but that’s an option as well. So far I’m a fan! Do you prefer shellac, bio-gel, dip, or natural nails? —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #springmani #dippowdernails #dipmanicure #toronto #torontonails #torontopr #dipnails #nailinspo #bluenails #shortnails #opidippowder #organicnailbar #organicnailbarto #kingwest #freshnails #nailstagram #simplenails #nailsalon
