Xtreme Lashes at Caryl Baker Visage

Posted on August 21, 2015March 30, 2020 by Alysia

Now, I’m not one to toot my own horn but I do have some pretty long lashes. So when I told all my friends that I was getting lash extensions, the responses I got were “Why? You have such long lashes, you don’t need them” and then:  “Let me know how it goes because I…

Favourite Summer Products from Tarte Cosmetics

Posted on July 17, 2015March 30, 2020 by Alysia

Lights, Camera, Lashes This deep brown liquid liner has an ultra flexible, thin tip for easy application. It’s 12 hour long wear is great for sweaty, humid summer days. What’s I like about the thin tip is that you can fill in spaces above your lash line to make lashes appear fuller, rather than drawing…

Posted on June 3, 2015March 30, 2020 by Alysia

Earlier this month, I attended a Beauty Event at Caryl Baker Visage in the Exchange Tower. Over the course of the hour, I met with several employees of Caryl Baker Visage who walked me through the newly renovated storefront and what their face experts have to offer. The modern design of the space is appealing…

Vichy Homme Idealizer For Bearded Guys

Posted on May 27, 2015May 28, 2015 by Alysia

The trend of beards is not only popular among the hipsters –  you see many Bay Street men sporting a beard/mustache or trimmed face-scaping (as I like to call it). If men are going to have some  kind of scruff or a beard, it MUST be maintained or it ends up looking unattractive and just…

  • I got Botox! (Technically, I got Nuceiva, which is a different brand of neuromodulator, but does the same thing) I’ve been feeling uncomfortable with the fine lines on my forehead, and wanted to try out neuromodulators! It was easier and much less painful than I anticipated, but definitely was a bit of an emotional journey. ➡️ I got 24 units during this visit, at a cost of $11 each. (Cost will vary depending on brand of neuromodulator, the clinic you choose, and the person who does the treatment) ➡️ This treatment will probably last around 3 months, and then will
  • Trying out @fentyskin’s Cookies & Clean Detox Face Mask! I love a good mask, and goodness knows my skin needs a bit of help nowadays! ➡️This is one of the products I featured in my blog post about Black-owned beauty brands. I love that it’s not too drying, makes my skin feel refreshed, is cruelty-free, and is part of the Clean at Sephora collection! Have you checked out anything from Fenty Beauty or Fenty Skin? —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #blackownedbeauty #blackownedbusinesses #cleanskincare #fentyskin #cleanatsephora #claymask #charcoalmask #crueltyfree #crueltyfreeskincare #crueltyfreebeauty #torontopr #torontoblogger #selfcaresunday #skincareroutine #skincarejunkie #skincarelover #cleanskin

  • Fresh nails for Spring! This was my first time getting a dip powder mani. It was so interesting! Apparently it’ll last about 3-4 weeks. I like that I didn’t have to cure the nails with a UV lamp, and that there was less filing than with biogel. I decided not to go with extensions today, but that’s an option as well. So far I’m a fan! Do you prefer shellac, bio-gel, dip, or natural nails? —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #springmani #dippowdernails #dipmanicure #toronto #torontonails #torontopr #dipnails #nailinspo #bluenails #shortnails #opidippowder #organicnailbar #organicnailbarto #kingwest #freshnails #nailstagram #simplenails #nailsalon
